From Rome to VRE-VIRTUAL REALITY EXPERIENCE to Singapore at GARDEN BY THE BAY.
We are talking about Treehe virtual reality experience created by an internationally renowned artist for the collaboration with performance artist Marina Abramovich. She is the Serbian director Milica Zec who conceived and produced Tree together with Winslow Turner Porter III.
Tree is the second work of a trilogy dedicated to the evil that man do to nature and the like. Tree focuses on the issue of climate change and its devastating effects on nature. The project opens with Giant, the previous work, which describes the war from the point of view of children, and concludes with Breathe, a chapter dedicated to hope.
VRE decided to include Tree in its program due to the value and the enormous potential of the artists that employ culture, art and technology as a tool able to generate positive changes. Secondly because there is a strong necessity to support every action in favour of the environment and eco-sustainability.
Right after VRE, Milica was invited by Singapore Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat to position Tree in the Cloud Forest, a steel and glass structure which represents a 35mt tall artificial mountain covered in vegetation and from its top flows a majestic waterfall. The Cloud Forest is located inside the Gardens by the Bay parks in Singapore and is a part of the ambitious government project to transform the city into a garden-city.
